"And he (Jesus) arose, and REBUKED THE WIND, and SAID UNTO THE SEA, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and THERE WAS GREAT CALM." (Mar 4:39).
The LORD REBUKED the wind (spiritually unseen forces), and SAID unto the sea (the physical situation). Today, the presence of Jesus in and with us is dealing with every unseen forces, while we must deal with every seen situations with the words coming out of our mouths. SOMETIMES IF NOT MOST, YOU JUST HAVE TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORM OR FIND YOURSELF THERE FOR JESUS IN AND WITH YOU TO CAUSE A GREAT CALM.
Any country, city, place or home you're in should experience this great calm from storms. "And into whatsoever house ye enter, FIRST SAY, Peace be to this house. And IF the SON OF PEACE be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again." (Luk 10:5-6).
Who is this son of peace? It's you and I following after Jesus! The LORD is always with us, NEVER to leave nor forsake us.
"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." (John 14:18)... and by/through His/the Holy Spirit He hasn't left yet, and will NEVER EVER leave, for we are all together His sanctuary. Therefore, we Go everywhere that is "deserving" of our peace, and we will find rest in the midst of storms. The LORD leads by peace (Luke 1:79). WITHOUT HIS PEACE, WE CAN'T FUNCTION.
The way of peace.
"Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." (Luke 1:78-79).
One of the fruit of the Spirit is Peace..."But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE,..." (Gal 5:22), and it must be from inside out. You MUST have peace in your heart and mind to cause it upon anything, even the devils must hold their peace for peace to reign (Luke 4:35). And this peace can only come through the Words (or Sword, the Spirit) of our LORD Jesus Christ (Mat 10:13). It's the LORD's presence that we carry around that rebuke storms. Wherever we step unto is already the LORD's and so we declare peace to be in that place. Peace is a fundamental requirement for eternal life anywhere and everywhere.
Isn't the gospel we preach and teach that of peace?
"Put on the whole ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil..... And YOUR FEET shod with the preparation of THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; (Eph 6:11, 15). - {We do exceedingly great good for our world when through us the gospel is published everywhere.}
So therefore, IT IS A MUST WE FIND AND KNOW THE PRINCE OF PEACE that was born on Christmas day, and be armed and ready to tread on serpents and scorpions. The Prince of peace carries the Sword of His/the Spirit that rebuke every storm.
