"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that YE CANNOT DO THE THINGS THAT YE WOULD." (Gal 5:16-17)
What is a Barrier? a fence or other OBSTACLE that prevents movement or access. It's a wall of separation.
Have you ever tried doing things your heart desires and your flesh won't comply? This is what is called paralysis, and it always when the MIND isn't able to communicate the desires of the HEART to the FLESH/BODY, and this is equally true when it comes to the temple of God, the Church.
At the heart of every temple (the Church) is the Most holy place (or the Holiest of all), and this is where the Spirit of God dwells. Whenever the mind is disconnected from the heart, the body suffers. We are the temple of God, we have the mind of Christ, and we are the body of Christ. Whenever there is a paralysis, it's always at the mind level.
"... For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:" Where is this lust from? It's from the unrenewed mind. Those that believe they know everything and are the most holy.
"... and these are contrary the one to the other: so that YE CANNOT DO THE THINGS THAT YE WOULD." Have you ever been faced with this conflict? Was it nice? How would you feel when everything you purpose to do from within your heart is being blocked by these so-called religious within the Church?
Should my givings and sharing of the Love of Christ in meeting the genuine needs of my fellow believers (neighbours) within the Church be within boundaries and limitations?!
"... For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but BY LOVE SERVE ONE ANOTHER." (vs.13). Are we not suppose to walk in the Spirit and be moved by the needs of others?
Hypocrite! You are and don't yet know.
"For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building." (1 Co 3:9). We are co-labourers in the love, joy, peace, faith, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness and temperance of Christ and His Spirit (Gal 5:22-23).
If we are together in this, why should you then be an obstacle of jealousy, envy, hatred and malice to your fellows? Can you see into the hearts of people, and why do you always stand in the way of those that want to serve?
"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in." (Mat 23:13). ..
These hypocrites are within the Church (the outer court) and are never connected to the most holy and inner court. They are a blockage to people. They stand in the way and saddle people with rules and regulations of the sabbath instead of giving out the fruit of the Spirit. Every good you intend to do is evil thought of. They monitor your every move and report falsely against you. Is man made for the sabbath or sabbath for man?
"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath." (Mar 2:27-28). The LORD and His lords does whatever pleases them (Him and us), because to give love pleases Him and it pleases us so much too.
