The only enemy a believer has is the devil. And this enemy is a spirit being, and spirits don't die like the flesh does. The influence the enemy has over the flesh of the dead souls is tremendously great (these dead souls are yoked by the devil). Therefore, we should know that every war (offense/defence) against him must be spiritual.
So how do we fight a spiritual war? The WORD of God.
"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (Jon 6:63).
EVERY SINGLE BIT OF THE WORD OF GOD IS SPIRIT, AND WHATSOEVER IT SAYS IS THE TRUTH. It is the Word of God that quickens (accelerate) everything, and the flesh is not capable of this.
When the bible says the devil has been defeated, so it is. Never let us doubt the Word of God, but instead with patience let us show to the world the truth of the Word. The book of Revelation is a spiritual detail of all THAT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED to the enemy, the devil. He has been defeated at the cross, and driven out of the heavenly places where Christ is seated with us. [Note: A must read Rev 12, Eph 1:17-23].
The Word is Spirit.
Just as the enemy(devil) is a spirit being, so also is the Word of God that created everything, including the devil. To want to fight the enemy, our only weapon is the Word of God.
The Mystery: To not know ALL that has ALREADY been done at the Cross of Christ, keeps us from our full manifestation as the children of God. It is a must we know ALL the mysteries wrought at the Cross of Christ, and then REST in the truth of it all.
This is our patience and rest:- EVERYTHING DONE IN THE SPIRIT IS ALREADY DONE.
